It was finally nice enough to take a ride today. Went visiting the parts guys that have helped me but hadn't seen the bike yet. Jaws dropped. "Can I turn the throttle?" "Nice paint". Of course, I was smiling ear to ear. They didn't expect it to look like it did. Felt great, having all the parts guys at the HD shop outside looking at *my* bike. Even the customers came over and comented on it. They didn't even know what a stock Savage looked like. The parts guys said, "believe us, it never looked like that". I was going to take it out back to show the guy in the service dept. when he came running out and wanted me to wait. I told him I was just bringing it out back to show him. He said the part guys were all asking him if he had seen it and to hurry and see it before I left. Boy, did I feel on top of the world! I did give credit to my SO. My ideas, his wrenching. My SO was teaching his MC Safety Course so he wasn't with me. When he got home he had a big smile on his face and said "Well, did you take your bike out?" The look on my face was all he needed. He knew the answer but sat and listened to my stories.
